Mougey drafts above-average athletes (avg 60th percentile)
The Jets FO is currently in a transition phase between old and new. While many of the top positions have gone to individuals outside of the organization, they retained several long time FO members. Guys like Spielman and McCreight are new to NY, but they have decades of NFL experience. With a first time GM in Mougey, it appears they chose to balance out the age of their staff rather than fully embracing a younger, new direction. Majority of their younger scouts came directly from college recruiting depts. Their data/analytics people are interesting, because they have some experience with 3rd party data providers (Director has military ops experience).
